Hội thảo về các phương pháp xếp hạng đại học của THE

Dear University leaders and colleagues,

Times Higher Education (THE) is the global authority of higher education and publisher of the prestigious World University Rankings. I am delighted to invite you and your colleagues to attend our second symposium in Vietnam this September.

Organised in partnership with the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (AVU&C) and Vietnam National University, Hanoi, this symposium aims to provide Vietnamese universities with a deeper understanding of their performance and potential in the World University Rankings. Best practices and advice will also be shared to help universities better prepare their Impact Rankings 2023 submission.

We encourage university presidents, vice-presidents, directors, and managers involved in strategy, assessment, and internationalization to attend this symposium. The event will run for 3 hours, including a 30-minute Q&A session and coffee break.

2:15 – 3:00 PM	Benchmarking Vietnamese Universities global performance In 2022, five Vietnamese Universities participated in the World University Rankings. Analysis of their performance, that will be presented in this session, reveals strengths in specific subject areas, including Physical Sciences and Engineering. They have also showed great progress in internationalisation and citations metrics. However, a relatively small number of universities participate in the rankings. Our additional analysis will show the potential for more Vietnamese institutions to compete with the best universities around the world. 3:30 – 4:15 PM	Impact Rankings 2023 THE’s Impact Rankings are the first and only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With tables for each of the 17 SDGs, the rankings provide an opportunity to highlight the great work universities are doing for society at all levels – on campus, in your local environment, and further afield.
