Quality assurance of 3 university-level training programs: Business Administration – Human Resource Management and Accounting at Trade Union University

On June 28, 2021, the External Evaluation Expert Team (DGN), established by the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (KĐCLGD) – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (CTĐHCĐVN), surveyed preliminary (KSSB) 3 training programs (curriculum) at university level (Business Administration major; Human Resource Management major; Accounting major) at Trade Union University, to prepare for the official survey (KSCT) according to the educational accreditation process of the Ministry of Education and Training.

At the end of the KSSB inspection day, the Director of the Center for Educational Quality Evaluation – Vietnam Association of General Education Programs, the Head of the Evaluation Expert Team and the Principal of Trade Union University signed a Memorandum of Understanding after the KSSB inspection of the Evaluation Expert Team.

The KSCT round to serve the evaluation of 3 training programs was opened on September 30, 2021 at Trade Union University and closed on October 7, 2021.

Attending the Opening Ceremony of the CTQC, on the side of the Center for Educational Quality Testing, there was Associate Professor, PhD. Pham Van Quyet, Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Van Uyen, PhD. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, PhD. Doan Thi Quynh Anh. On the side of Trade Union University, there was Dr. Le Manh Hung – Principal, Chairman of the SA Council; Mr. Le Cao Thang, Chairman of the School Council, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tinh – Vice Principal, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Duong Thi Thanh Xuan, Vice Principal; Dr. Ha Van Sy, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Phung The Hung, Dean of the Faculty of Human Resources Management, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Doan Thuc Quyen, Deputy Dean in charge of the Faculty of Accounting, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; MSc. Dam Khac Cu, Head of the Department of Audit and Quality Assurance, Secretary of the SA Council; along with members of the 03 Self-Evaluation Councils of 03 training programs, specialized groups, representatives of unions and units of Trade Union University.

The evaluation expert team outside the 3 training programs surveyed and researched documents and interviewed employers; former learner; learner; School Leaders; Leaders of mass organizations, faculties, departments, centers, departments, functional departments, and lecturer representatives; Collect feedback from stakeholders; phone assessment of employment status of 710 graduates; Observe the facilities, laboratories, practice rooms and departments of 03 training programs at Trade Union University to verify the information in the self-assessment report of the 3 training programs of the University, thereby providing recommendations. Recommendations to help improve and enhance the quality of the school’s training program.

The Closing Ceremony of the KSCT round serving the evaluation of 3 university-level training programs of Trade Union University was held at 3:00 p.m. on October 7, 2021. At the Closing Ceremony of the KSCT, Head of the external expert evaluation team – Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Dong has Preliminarily reported the results of quality assessment of 03 university-level training programs of Trade Union University. The report of the Evaluation Team clearly pointed out the school’s strengths; At the same time, the Evaluation Delegation made recommendations for the School to promote the strengths and overcome the shortcomings of the 03 training programs with the aim of continuously improving the training quality of the School.

Receiving the recommendations of the Evaluation Expert Team in the Preliminary Report on the results of KSCT 03 training programs of Trade Union University, the School Principal affirmed that the University has been building feasible plans and solutions for implementation. Implement the recommendations of the Evaluation Expert Team. At the end of the Closing Ceremony, the Director of the Education Quality Evaluation Center – Vietnam Community Program Association, Head of the evaluation expert team and the Principal of Trade Union University jointly signed the minutes of completion of the school’s 03 training programs.
