Quality accreditation of 05 university-level training programs (International Economics, English Language, International Communications, International Relations and International Law) at the Diplomatic Academy

On January 10, 2021, 02 Delegations (Delegation 1 and Delegation 2) of external assessment experts (Evaluator) of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (KĐCLGD) – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (CTĐHCĐVN) ) conducted a preliminary survey (KSSB) of 05 training programs (CTDT) at university level (International Economics major, English Language major, International Communications major, International Relations major and International Law major) at the Diplomatic Academy, to prepare for the official survey (KSCT) according to the educational quality accreditation process of the Ministry of Education and Training.

At the end of the KSSB day, the Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment – Vietnam Association of General Assembly, Head of the Delegation of Evaluation Experts (Group 1), Head of the Delegation of Evaluation Experts (Group 2) and Acting Director of the Diplomatic Academy signed the following Memorandum of Understanding KSSB of the Expert Delegation of Evaluation.

The KSCT round to serve the evaluation of 05 university-level training programs was officially opened on January 18, 2021 at the Diplomatic Academy.

Attending the Opening Ceremony of the KSCT round, on the side of superior delegates were Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Xuan Nhi, former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Association of Vietnam General Collegiate Schools.

On the side of the Center for Education Quality Assessment and the Delegation of Education Evaluation Experts (Group 1 and Group 2) were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nga – Center Director, Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Ha – former Director of the Department of Higher Education – Ministry of Education and Training – Head of the Education Evaluation Expert Team (Group 1); Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Dong – Head of the Evaluation Expert Team (Group 2); Dr. Pham Xuan Thanh – Deputy Director of the Center, members of the two Evaluation Teams and Center staff.

On the side of the Diplomatic Academy, there was Dr. Pham Lan Dung – Acting Director of the Academy, Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Nguyen Hung Son – Deputy Director of the Academy, Standing Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Vu Tuan Anh – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Foreign Culture, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Associate Professor, PhD. Dang Hoang Linh – Dean of the Faculty of International Economics, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Thi Cat Ngoc – Head of the English Department, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Nguyen Tuan Viet – Head of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Trinh Hai Yen – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Law, Vice Chairman of the SA Council, along with members of 05 Self-Evaluation Councils of 05 research programs, specialized groups, representatives of unions and units of the Academy Diplomatic.

The official survey to serve the assessment of 05 training programs: International Economics, English Language, International Communications, International Relations and International Law opened on January 18, 2021 and closed. on January 28, 2021. Experts from the two Delegates of Evaluation 05 of the Training Program surveyed and researched documents and interviewed employers; former learner; learner; Academy Leadership; Leaders of mass organizations, faculties, departments, centers, functional departments, faculty representatives, collect feedback from relevant parties; phone to assess the employment status of graduates; Observe the facilities, laboratories, practice rooms and departments of 05 training programs at the Diplomatic Academy to verify the information in the self-assessment report of 05 training programs of the Academy, thereby providing recommendations. Recommendations to help improve and enhance the quality of the Academy’s training programs.

At the Closing Ceremony of the Technical Inspection period, Head of the external expert evaluation team – Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Ha (Head of Delegation 1) and Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Dong (Head of Delegation 2) presented the preliminary report on the results of quality assessment of 05 university-level training programs of the Diplomatic Academy. The reports of the 02 Evaluation Teams clearly pointed out the strengths and recommendations for the Academy to promote the strengths and soon overcome the shortcomings of the 05 training programs with the aim of constantly improving the training quality of the Academy.

Absorbing the recommendations of 02 Evaluation Expert Teams in the Preliminary Report on the results of quality assessment of 05 training programs of the Diplomatic Academy, Dr. Pham Lan Dung – Acting Director of the Academy affirmed that the Academy will have specific and feasible plans and solutions to implement the recommendations of the 02 Evaluation Expert Teams.

At the end of the closing session, the Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment – Vietnam Association of General Education Programs, the two Heads of the expert assessment team and the Acting Director of the Diplomatic Academy signed the minutes to complete the official survey to serve the assessment of 05 undergraduate training programs.
