On November 1, 2020, the External Evaluation Expert Team (DGN), established by the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (KĐCLGD) – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (CTĐHCĐVN), surveyed Preliminary (KSSB) 02 training programs (CTDT): Theory & Teaching Methods of English Department at Master’s level and English Pedagogy at university level at Can Tho University, to prepare for the official survey (KSCT) according to the educational quality accreditation process of the Ministry of Education and Training.

At the end of the KSSB inspection day, the Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment – Vietnam Association of Community Councils, the Head of the Evaluation Expert Team and the Principal of Can Tho University signed a Memorandum of Understanding after the KSSB inspection of the Evaluation Expert Team.

The KSCT to serve the evaluation of 02 training programs: Theory & Teaching Methodology, English Department at Master’s level and English Pedagogy at university level were officially opened on November 9, 2020 at the University. study in Can Tho.

Attending the opening ceremony of the STD inspection, on behalf of the Center for Education Quality Assessment and the Delegation of Assessment Experts, there was Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nga – Center Director, Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Ha – former Director of the Department of Higher Education, Deputy Director of the Center, Head of the Evaluation Delegation; MSc. Dinh Tuan Dung, Head of Quality Evaluation Department – Secretary of the Evaluation Team and members of the Evaluation Team including Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Quang Dong, Associate Professor, PhD. Do Hanh Nga, PhD. Mai Thi Quynh Lan, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan and Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam Trinh. On the side of Can Tho University, there was Prof.Dr. Ha Thanh Toan Principal, Chairman of the SA Council, Associate Professor, PhD. Le Viet Dung – Vice Rector, Vice Chairman of the SA Council, Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Thanh Hien – Vice Principal, Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Trung Tinh – Vice Rector, Associate Professor, PhD. Trinh Quoc Lap – Head of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Vice Chairman of the SA Council, Secretary of the SA Council and members of the 02 Self-Evaluation Councils of 02 training programs, specialized groups, representatives of unions and units of Can Tho University.

The official survey to serve the assessment begins from November 9, 2020 to November 14, 2020. The evaluation expert team outside the 02 training programs conducted surveys, researched documents, and interviewed employers; former learner; learner; School Leaders; Leaders of mass organizations, faculties, departments, centers, functional departments, and lecturer representatives; Collect feedback from stakeholders; telephone to assess the employment status of 450 graduates; Observe the facilities, laboratories, practice rooms and departments of 02 training programs at Can Tho University to verify the information in the University’s self-assessment report, thereby making recommendations to help Improve and enhance the quality of the school’s training program

After 6 working days, the Closing Ceremony of the KSCT to serve the Evaluation of 02 Training Programs of Can Tho University was held at 10:30 a.m. on November 14, 2020. At the Closing Ceremony of the Technical Inspection period, Head of the external expert evaluation team – Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Ha presented the preliminary report on the results of quality assessment of 02 training programs of Can Tho University. The report of the Evaluation Team clearly stated the school’s strengths; At the same time, the Evaluation Team makes recommendations for the School to promote its strengths and overcome shortcomings with the aim of continuously improving the training quality of the School.

Absorbing the recommendations of the Evaluation Expert Team in the Preliminary Report on the results of quality assessment of 02 training programs of Can Tho University, Prof.Dr. Ha Thanh Toan, Principal of the School, affirmed that the School will have specific and feasible plans and solutions to implement the recommendations of the Evaluation Expert Team.
