On the morning of March 16, the University of Information and Communications Technology, Thai Nguyen University was honored to receive the Certificate of Education Quality Accreditation from the Center for Education Quality Accreditation under the Association of Schools. Vietnamese university and college level, becoming the first school of Thai Nguyen University and the Northern Midlands and Mountains region to be recognized as meeting university education quality standards; is also one of the first 15 universities in the country to be recognized as meeting educational quality accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. Attending were comrade Vu Hong Bac, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
Since 2008, the University of Information and Communications Technology has developed plans and implemented necessary activities to serve self-assessment. By the end of 2015 and early 2016, the school met the conditions to register for external assessment. Through the survey process, in the spirit of seriousness, openness and transparency, the school achieved 53/61 evaluation criteria. With this result, the school was recognized by the Council for Education Quality Accreditation under the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges as meeting educational quality standards.
Attending and congratulating the achievements of the University of Information and Communications Technology, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Hong Bac affirmed: this is not only an honor for the school but also a meaningful event. for Thai Nguyen province. At the same time, emphasizing “Quality is the key to all success”; he wishes and recommends that the school’s leadership, staff and lecturers immediately embark on determining a new development roadmap, based on basis to ensure higher standards.
Recognition that the school meets university education quality standards is both a foundation and a push for the school to achieve many goals, in which, by 2020, the University of Information Technology and Communications will become becoming a national-class electronic university, one of Vietnam’s leading centers for undergraduate and postgraduate training, scientific research and technology transfer in the field of information technology. Information and communications serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, meeting the requirements of international integration.
