CENTRE FOR EDUCATION ACCREDITATION

On the morning of March 1, 2018, the external assessment expert team of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges conducted a preliminary survey at Southern Can Tho University to standardize prepare for the official survey according to the university education quality accreditation process of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Participating in the preliminary survey team, on behalf of the Center for Educational Quality Assurance – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges, there was Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Phuong Nga, Center Director, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan Chief of the Center Office and Center staff. On the side of the external expert evaluation team, there was Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Ha, Head of Delegation; Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Secretary of the Union. On the side of the University, there was Prof.Dr. Vo Tong Xuan, Principal of the School, Representative of the Board of Directors, members of the Board of Directors, Self-Evaluation Council along with all heads of units throughout the School and student representatives.

The main purpose of education quality accreditation is to ensure the achievement of certain standards in training and to constantly improve and enhance training quality, meet the requirements of human resource users and ensure protect the rights of learners.

At the meeting, the external assessment expert team reported the results of studying the self-assessment dossier and announced the official survey plan. The two sides discussed and agreed on the issues that the school needs to prepare: supporting documents needed, number and composition of interview subjects, agreement on the official survey schedule, and working principles. The team of experts visited a number of locations where the school prepared for the official survey such as the office of the Evaluation Team, the interview room, the hall for the Opening Ceremony of the official survey… and briefly checked the documents. The preliminary survey for external assessment ended with the signing ceremony of the preliminary survey record between the Director of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges, and the Head of the Evaluation Delegation. Judge and Principal of Southern Can Tho University in the presence of leaders and heads of units of the University. The official survey time of the Expert Evaluation Team at the University was agreed to begin on March 27, 2018 and end on March 31, 2018.
