ASSOCIATION OF VIETNAM UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES
Hanoi, Vietnam / Bonn, Germany – July 18, 2025
On July 18, 2025, the Centre for Education Accreditation – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (CEA-AVU&C), Hanoi, Vietnam, and Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), Bonn, Germany, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration in the fields of quality assurance and accreditation in higher education and micro-credentials.
This strategic agreement marks an important milestone in strengthening international cooperation and enhancing educational standards through the exchange of expertise and joint initiatives. The MoU was signed by Assoc. Professor Nguyen Phuong Nga, Director of CEA-AVU&C, and Mrs. Mag.a Diane Freiberger, Managing Director of FIBAA.
Assoc. Professor Nguyen Phuong Nga highlighted the significance of the partnership:
“We are glad to welcome FIBAA as a highly professional European partner, which brings a fresh impulse to quality development and the internationalisation of accreditation for Vietnamese higher education. We expect a wide range of joint activities that will enrich Vietnamese education quality assurance and accreditation by complementing national quality standards with international accreditation expertise. Through this partnership, quality assurance and accreditation for universities in Vietnam will benefit from joint training programmes, expert exchange, and integrated quality assurance frameworks.”
Mrs. Mag.a Diane Freiberger emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration:
“The cooperation between Europe-based FIBAA and CEA-AVU&C, one of the leading accreditation center in Vietnam, unites international accreditation expertise with deep regional insight into Vietnamese higher education landscape. By aligning European quality standards with the national context, we aim to support institutions in enhancing academic excellence, achieving international recognition, and fostering sustainable improvement.”
The MoU sets the foundation for a robust exchange of knowledge and best practices and paves the way for joint projects and initiatives in the years ahead. Both organizations are committed to contributing to the continuous quality enhancement of higher education in Vietnam and beyond.
