Carrying out the functions and tasks licensed to operate by the Ministry of Education and Training, four Education Quality Accreditation Centers (hereinafter referred to as Centers) have carried out quality accreditation (KĐCL). higher education institutions (higher education) and accreditation of university training programs.
Quality accreditation activities of higher education institutions are carried out according to Circular No. 62/2012/TT-BGDDT (issued by the Minister of Education and Training on December 28, 2012) and Consolidated Document No. 06/VBHN-BGDDT (issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on December 28, 2012). Issued by the Minister of Education and Training on March 4, 2014).
During the period from January 2016 to May 31, 2018, four Centers evaluated in addition to 122 universities and institutes, 03 colleges, of which 117 universities/institutes were approved by the Councils for Accreditation of Education. promulgate a Resolution on recognition of meeting educational quality standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (there are currently 17 universities that have not been granted certificates of meeting educational quality standards and are in the process of public announcement). Resolutions of the Educational Quality Accreditation Councils according to the educational quality accreditation process prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training); Particularly, 05 universities/academies have been evaluated externally but have not been further evaluated and recognized by the Council of Educational Quality Accreditation.
Of the 117 universities/academies that have had recognition resolutions from the Councils of Educational Quality Accreditation, 15.4% are private universities, 6.8% are schools under the management and management of the Provincial People’s Committees. 77.8% are schools/academies under the governing ministries and national and regional universities.
According to the results of educational quality accreditation, after the Education Quality Accreditation Councils of the four Centers appraised the self-assessment report documents, external assessment report documents and heard directly from 117 Principals and the Heads of external assessment expert teams. Reported at meetings of the Councils, the Councils had questions to ask the Principals and the External Evaluation Unions, the Education Quality Accreditation Councils all issued Resolutions recognizing 117 schools/academies achieving Education quality standards.
The results of public education accreditation on the electronic portal of the four Centers show that, among 10 standards with 61 quality assessment criteria, there is only 1 university with the highest number of “Pass” criteria (56). /61 criteria “Meets” and the least number of criteria “Not met” (5/61 criteria “Not met”); 25 schools/institutes (accounting for 21.36%) have 49 “Pass” criteria and 12 “Not met” criteria (49 “Pass” criteria are the minimum number for a school/institute to be recognized as meeting the Education Quality Standards).
