On October 15, 2020, at Hanoi City Palace of Intellectuals, the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation under the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Center’s establishment with a conference. “Impact of Educational Quality Accreditation”.

In a jubilant and excited atmosphere, congratulating the success of Party Congresses at all levels, moving towards the 13th Party Congress and welcoming the new school year 2020 – 2021; The celebration and conference took place in a cheerful and solemn atmosphere with the participation of nearly 300 delegates. Although he was busy with work and did not attend, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha sent a basket of fresh flowers and good wishes to the Center.

In particular, the National Assembly’s Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, and Children has paid great attention to the quality accreditation of higher education, Dr. Pham Tat Thang, Vice Chairman of the Committee, attended the Conference and presented a fresh flower basket to congratulate the Center.

Attending the Celebration Ceremony and Conference were leaders of Departments and Agencies of the Ministry of Education and Training: Department of Personnel Organization, Department of Higher Education, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry Inspectorate, Department of Quality Management; SAHEP Project Management Board. Delegates from agencies, departments and branches include leaders of the Department of Training, Ministry of Public Security and School Department, Ministry of National Defense; On behalf of the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges, there was Prof.Dr. Tran Hong Quan, former Minister of Education and Training, Chairman of the Association; Vice Presidents, Chief of Office and Heads of Committees under the Association. Leaders of over 200 higher education institutions and managers of centers/departments for Testing and Educational Quality Assurance; Leaders of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation of Hanoi National University and Vinh University; Reporters from central and Hanoi newspapers and stations attended and reported.

On the part of the Center for Educational Quality Assurance, attending and chairing the ceremony was Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nga, Director of the Center, Deputy Directors, members of the Council for Education Quality Accreditation, Chief of Office and Leaders of functional departments, officers and employees of the Center, colleagues auditors and collaborators of the Center.

In the Opening speech, Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Phuong Nga, Director of the Center reviewed the important milestones that the Center has passed and affirmed: 5 years of establishment and operation is not long, the Center has just the right organizational structure for training. a team of accreditors, build a network of experts, scientists… and deploy educational quality accreditation activities (KĐCLGD). Up to now, looking back at the achievements achieved, we are all very proud of the development and growth of the Center. The Center’s full-time staff and auditors are all qualified and experienced educational managers and teachers; The Center’s collaborators include experts, educational managers, scientists, and lecturers in many fields with high professional qualifications and experience in higher education administration and training. created in higher education institutions.

In the past 5 years, the Center has evaluated 47 universities/academies and pedagogical colleges and 21 training programs (has evaluated and issued quality accreditation certificates to 44 educational institutions and 18 education program). At the same time, the Center has organized many training courses to foster skills in self-assessment of educational institutions and training programs for thousands of officials and lecturers of higher education institutions.

Prof.Dr. Tran Hong Quan, Chairman of the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges, in his speech, recognized and appreciated the Center’s outstanding efforts and great contributions to improving quality. The Celebration will be followed by the Workshop “Impact of educational quality accreditation” with 5 presentations by leading experts in the field of university administration and educational quality accreditation.
