CENTRE FOR EDUCATION ACCREDITATION

On the morning of March 27, 2018, in Can Tho City, the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (KĐCLGD) – Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges (CTĐHCĐVN) coordinated with Nam Can Tho University Organized the opening of an official survey to serve the external assessment of Southern Can Tho University according to the university quality assessment standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

On the side of the Ministry of Education and Training, there was Dr. Le My Phong, Head of Quality Assurance Department, Department of Quality Management.

On behalf of the Department of Education and Training, there was Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Deputy Director of the Department.

On the side of the Education Quality Accreditation Center, there was Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Phuong Nga, Center Director; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chief of Central Office, MSc. Tong Thanh Trung, Center Specialist.

On the side of the external expert evaluation team, there was Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Ha, Head of Delegation; Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Secretary of the Youth Union; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Dong, Permanent Member; Associate Professor, PhD. Le Van Hao and PhD. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha is a member of the Evaluation Expert Team.

On the side of Southern Can Tho University, there was Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan – Principal, Chairman of the SA Council; Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Vice Principal, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; Associate Professor, PhD. Dao Duy Huan – Vice Rector, Vice Chairman of the SA Council; MSc. Trinh Hue – Vice Principal, Vice Chairman of the SA Council. MSc. Nguyen Chi Thang – Head of the Secretariat of the SA Council, Heads/Deputies of units, representatives of mass organizations, representatives of lecturers and learners.

The survey to serve the assessment was conducted from March 27, 2018 to March 31, 2018. The team of experts from the GGN conducted a survey, researched documents, and interviewed employers; former learner; learner; School Leadership Board; Leaders of mass organizations, faculties, departments, centers, functional departments, and lecturer representatives; survey to collect feedback from relevant parties, assess the employment status of graduates via direct phone calls with graduates and visit the University’s facilities to verify the information according to the School’s self-assessment report, thereby providing recommendations to help the School improve and improve quality.

The closing ceremony of the KSCT round to serve the assessment of Southern Can Tho University was held on March 31, 2018. At the Closing Ceremony of the CST, Head of the External Evaluation Team, Associate Professor, PhD. Tran Thi Ha presented the Report on the results of assessing the quality of education at Nam Can Tho University. The report clearly stated the school’s strengths and the delegation’s recommendations for the school to promote its strengths and overcome shortcomings with the aim of continuously improving quality.

Accepting the recommendations of the Expert Evaluation Team in the Preliminary Report on the results of educational quality assessment, Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal, and Chairman of the SA Council, affirmed that the School has and there will be feasible plans and solutions to implement the recommendations of the Evaluation Team.

At the end of the closing session, Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment – Vietnam Association of General Education Programs, Head of the assessment expert team and Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan – Principal, Chairman of the Education Council signed the minutes to complete the official survey to serve the assessment.
